is an up and coming vocalist from New Zealand.

She has performed at diverse events around the country, and internationally, from Big Band Vocalist to Party Band and Jazz Singer in various ensembles.

 

Her musical education started playing the flute, and with that, a growing passion for music. After gaining her ATCL, she turned her focus to composition & arranging at the New Zealand School of Music (NZSM), then through a transition into jazz vocal performance  in which she completed her Bachelor of Music.
It was at the NZSM she had the opportunity to sing with the award winning NZSM Big Band led by Dr. Rodger Fox, which won 2009 NZ Tui Music Award for ‘Best Jazz Album’.

 

In recent years Penelope has been travelling all over the world, performing on some of the worlds leading cruise ships, entertaining audiences with her seductive vocals in Jazz Quartets and Trios on Celebrity ships and 6 star cruise liner, the Crystal Symphony.
From the Opening shows, to star lit lawns and seductive lounges, Penelopes ability to cross styles with her unique vocal blend of jazz/soul/latin/pop, leads her to being just as comfortable singing in an intimate duo setting, as to the powerful full band concert hall.
